AUSSTELLUNGSCALL 2025 "Frieden | Peace"

Während in der Ukraine und im Gazastreifen auf Frieden gewartet wird, spricht man im Fall von Iran und Israel derzeit von einem „fragilen Frieden“. Nicht zum ersten Mal sieht sich die Welt einer atomaren Bedrohung gegenüber. Zu allem Übel soll der Hetzer Donald Trump einen Friedensnobelpreis erhalten. Können auch kriegerische Menschen diese Auszeichnung verdienen? Über „die Friedensbewegung“ heißt es, sie sei schwach. Und ja, man sieht sich die Märsche mit Nationalflaggen für den Frieden an und fühlt sich uninspiriert.

Was ist Frieden? Wo beginnt er, und wann ist er hergestellt? Woran erkennt man, dass etwas friedlich ist, und wann ist der Friede zerstört? Friede oder Frieden (von althochdeutsch fridu: „Schonung“, „Freundschaft“) ist das Thema unseres nächsten Calls, denn …

… „Manchmal braucht es kein Megafon, keine markigen Parolen, keine Talkshows. Manchmal reicht ein Pinselstrich. Oder ein Paukenschlag auf der Leinwand des Lebens. Die RG10 Gallery lädt kreative Köpfe mit künstlerischen Fähigkeiten ein, dieses wichtige Thema in visuelle und greifbare Objekte umzusetzen und so die Bedeutung einer FRIEDLICHEN WELT für uns alle zu überdenken.

Im Gegensatz zu politischen Maßnahmen gibt Kunst keine Empfehlungen. Die Besucher:innen stehen im Mittelpunkt und können erkunden, verstehen, fühlen, reflektieren und Schlussfolgerungen ziehen.

WER KANN TEILNEHMEN? Gesucht werden Künstlerinnen aller Disziplinen: Bildende Kunst, Skulptur, Mode, Schmuck und andere Ausdrucksformen.

AUSSTELLUNG & REICHWEITE Die Ausstellung wird umfassend über die RG10 Gallery beworben. Bei rechtzeitiger Anmeldung (Anmeldeschuss: 10.08.2025) werden die Künstler:innen in einem PDF-Katalog vorgestellt, der per E-Mail verbreitet wird.

TEILNAHMEBEDINGUNGEN

•            Maximal 20 Künstler:innen werden ausgewählt.
• Jede Künstlerin hat ca. 2 lfm Wandfläche zur Verfügung und kann mehrere Räume thematisch bespielen.
•  Einreichung: Bis zu 5 Werke können eingereicht werden, von den max. 3 für die Ausstellung ausgewählt werden.
• Teilnahmegebühr: € 80.
• Verkauf: 10 % des Verkaufserlöses gehen als Spende an die RG10 Gallery.

PEACE

While peace is still being awaited in Ukraine and Gaza, the term “fragile peace” is currently being used to describe the situation between Iran and Israel. This is not the first time the world is facing the threat of nuclear warfare. To make matters worse, the agitator Donald Trump is reportedly to receive a Nobel Peace Prize. But can people who fuel war truly deserve such an award? The peace movement is often described as weak. And yes, watching national-flag peace marches leaves one uninspired.

What is peace? Where does it begin, and when is it truly established? How do we recognize peacefulness—and how do we know when peace has been shattered?
Peace (in English originates from the Anglo-French pes, and the Old French pais, meaning "reconciliation, silence, agreement") is the topic of our next call, because...

The RG10 Gallery invites creative minds with artistic talent to interpret this essential topic through visual and tangible forms—and to help us all reflect on the meaning of a peaceful world.

Unlike political initiatives, art doesn’t offer solutions or recommendations. Instead, the focus is on the visitors: they are invited to explore, understand, feel, reflect, and draw their own conclusions.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
We welcome artists of all disciplines: visual arts, sculpture, fashion, jewelry, and other expressive forms.

EXHIBITION & REACH
The exhibition will be widely promoted through the RG10 Gallery. Artists who register by the deadline (August 10, 2025) will be included in a digital PDF catalog shared via email.

CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION

• A maximum of 20 artists will be selected.
• Each artist will have approximately 2 linear meters of wall space and can use multiple areas with thematic concepts.
• Submission: Up to 5 works may be submitted via the online form; a maximum of 3 will be selected for the exhibition.
• Participation fee: €80.
• Sales: 10% of any sales revenue will be donated to the RG10 Gallery.
